Bodybuilding and Fat Loss Tips - Q & A with Vince

About Vince - As you can see Vince maintains a fantastic physique at 43 years old, he puts it down to his clean diet and intensive workout routine. If you need some help and advice on how to get those abs in shape or have some general fitness related queries, be sure to contact Vince, where he'll be able to give you fitness tips and answer all your questions.

Stats: Age 43, Height: 5'8", Weight: 155 lbs, Chest: 41", Waist: 30", Body-fat: 7-8%

I follow a 4 day per week training regimen, working each body-part once per week, except abdominals, which are worked twice per week.  I typically eat really clean during the weekdays, which allows me to factor in some "fun" foods over the weekend.  Since I have two small children, I wind up at fast food restaurants, ice cream stands, or the mall fairly often.

I've always been a believer in a high protein diet, which will always promote more lean muscle, so my diet consists primarily of protein, keeping my carbohydrates and fats fairly low.

This weeks Question and tip

Hi Vince. You have great abs...what are your favorite exercises or the ones you find most effective for deeper cuts? Thanks Jason - View Vince's Response

Hi Vince, your in great shape man. If I could have any physique it would be yours. I'm 5'9, 180 pounds with a 36 inch waist. In recent years I've completely let myself go. I'm completely new to exercising, any recommendations on getting started? thanks for your time. Paul - View Vince's Response

I'm a 24yr old male and have been doing the program about a week.  I feel great.  M-f I work hard and eat right.  On weekends there is always something going on with my friends and usually alcohol is involved.  Does beer and liquor really set you back and also eating candies and junk on those 2 days? - View Vince's Response

What is the best way to gain as much muscle mass as possible? - View Vince's Response

First I must say you have great abs. You look awesome. I'm from Australia and I just joined the program a few days ago and i'm quite happy with the Sixpacknow Program. I've been doing cardio and lots of sit ups just to lose weight. At this stage i've lost 40lbs. And that’s enough. It is time to give a good shape to my abs like yours. I've just received my workout and diet plan and i'm following it. My question is, i'm 34 years old and I drink coffee 4-5 times a day.  Should I cut it down and also in my hot drinks I use sweetener (0.89g sugar - 3.6 cal in one tea spoon ) is that ok to have that much sugar in one day. Thanks for your help...Murat  View Vince's Response

Hi Vince, first off let me say that my goal is to look like you when I am 40...actually you look WAY better than ANY of the guys I know at my age and I am 28! My question is what kind of mental training can I do in case I start to get bored with working out mainly when I don't feel like getting up and running in the morning before breakfast.  Also what are some tricks that can keep me from levelling out at one certain weight because right now I am kind of stuck in the 220 lb area. My goal is to get healthier and I am 5 ft seven inches what would be a good weight for me to shoot for, I was thinking 175 I really want to get down to your percentage of body fat.  Oh and just one other quick question. Which brand of supplements would you recommend? Thank you very much for your time. Keep up the good work you are a huge inspiration to me. Jerry View Vince's Response
