How to Reduce Stress and
Anger

You may or may not know but
it’s officially Anger Management Week this week and so I felt compelled
to write an article on this very topic and how it can affect your training. Now
anger produces the hormone cortisol which is created in the body’s
adrenal glands, it is produced because the body is angry and is therefore
preparing for a fight. This dates back to prehistoric times when we were all
cavemen and cavewomen running away from a sabre tooth tiger or
tyrannosaurus.
Basically the increased cortisol will increase
the flow of glucose, protein and fat out of the
muscle tissue and into the blood stream thus increasing ‘energy’ ensuring the
body is physically ready for the task at hand.
The
