"Off
season I actually don't train abs!!!
I focus on holding in my
stomach
all day and contracting them
when performing exercises"

On season I train
them no more than twice a week, one
day Ill do everything with weights or
using my own resistance from my body weight
(low reps), such as hanging leg
raises weighted crunches etc. Then on the
other day I will do high reps using no
weight and doing a series of all types of
crunches and sit ups with little to no rest
in between sets. I never do the same ab
workout unless I like the results from it the
next day.
My diet is always very
clean, I've heard so many times you are what you eat statement and it's
so true. As much as 85% of your results are based on your diet, and the
rest is training. Even though I'm a fitness competitor I diet like a
bodybuilder, I eat very clean, basic lean meats, veggies, brown rice,
etc. I don't eat refined sugar or bread, pasta and dairy ever. I keep it
high protein, moderate carb and moderate fat for the off season, and
then pre-contest, I cut the carbs and the fat. I never eat junk food or refined sugars, I stay away from bread,
pasta and dairy. My diet consists of lean meats, veggies, brown rice,
and egg whites and occasionally low carb high protein shakes. I always
drink lots of water (about 1 1/2- 2 gallons a day)
To help reach a really
lean look to my abs for competition, I do cardio on empty stomach in the
morning, take a thermogenic, and cut my sodium intake.
Good Luck with the
Program
