What workout plan works

best for Shrell?

My normal Ab Program consists of good nutrition as well as a solid gym workout.  I focus on nutrition because I can do as many crunches as I want, but if I continue to eat foods high in fat I will not get the results I am looking for. It is only when I pair a low fat diet with a strenuous ab workout routine that I get six pack abs.

I try to work on my abs four times a week. My ab workouts are not too long, usually 15 to 30 minutes at a time. I begin by stretching to make sure I don’t pull any muscles, then I start with a classic crunch to get warmed up.  From here I will perform four exercises that focus on my abs as well as my core muscles. I try to switch the types of exercises that I do every few days so as not to hit a training plateau. When I finish my ab workout I try to drink plenty of water and Eat a low fat snack so that I have some energy afterwards.

Here’s a look at my daily diet schedule:

Breakfast: ½ cup oatmeal, 4 hard boiled egg whites and a coffee.

Lunch: Romaine lettuce salad and tuna or grilled chicken

Snack: Protein shakes (low carb).

Dinner: Mixed vegetables and grilled or boiled chicken (or baked/poached fish)

Supper: Whey Protein shake or other protein source

If you are looking to develop your abs I would stress nutrition as the number one aspect to focus on. You need to change your diet to a low or no fat plan and stick to it!  You will also need to find ab exercises that will work for you. The best way to do this is by trial and error. Look at the SixPackNow site, there are always different exercises that you can try on your own. When you find something that works for you, make it a part of your ab workout. Try to get a variety of exercises so that you can switch up when you need to. And lastly make your ab routine apart of your normal exercise regime, think of it as a part of your everyday routine and you will be better able to maintain the change.

I wish you all the luck with the SixPackNow Program
