What would you consider to be the most important factor in achieving great abs?

Proper Dieting & Sufficient Cardiovascular Activity. Proper dieting and doing regular cardio will burn the layers of fat that cover the abdominal muscles. Great abs are worthless if no one can see them because they are under layers and layers of fat.

What advice would you give to other men looking to change their
body?

Stay focused and be patient. Achieving an amazing physique isn't going to happen overnight. Set long term goals for yourself, but make sure that you set short term goals as well. The journey won't seem so long and dreadful if you have mile stones that you are encouraged to reach along the way.

How often do you train your abs and what are your favorite
exercises?

When preparing for a competition or photo shoot, I train abs three or four times a week. My favorite exercises are leg lifts, basic crunches, and weighted situps on an incline. I don't recommend weighted abdominal work for anyone trying to flatten their stomach or lose inches off of their waste. Instead, I recommend doing basic sculpting exercises with little or no resistance.

What kind of weight training program do you follow and how often
do you visit the gym?

I train very heavy, utilizing the HIT (High Intensity Training) principles, while using the
following split:

Monday - Chest & Triceps
Tuesday - Back & Biceps
Wed. - Off
Thursday - Shoulders & Traps
Friday - Legs

I only perform the very fundamental compound lifts (ex: Bench Presses, Close Grip Bench Presses,
Standing Overhead Presses, Back Squats, Front Squats, Deadlifts, Bent Rowes, Barbell Curls, etc). All of my movements are very comprehensive to ensure maximum intensity.

Do you take any supplements, if so which ones?

I take very basic supplements, e.g. whey protein, amino acids, glutamine, multi vitamin, etc. I use the multi vitamin to help
get me through the day (ENERGY). Whey protein is a very good, fairly lean protein for building lean muscle mass. I use the amino acids and glutamine to help aid in recovery. For individuals interested in losing
weight, I recommend using Caffeine and Green Tea. They are great fat burners. Males interested in burning fat may also want to look into Yohimbe, which is also a good fat burner.

What type of cardio exercise do you do and how important is it in
your program?

When preparing for a competition, I rely very heavily on
cardio. I do it every day right after my weight training and later on that night after dinner. I cannot stress how important sufficient cardio is for developing a lean, hard, physique. I do the stair stepper and run on the treadmill with the incline at it's highest level.

What does your typical days diet look like?

I don't follow a very strict diet. I just make sure I stay away for foods high in fat, sodium, cholesterol, and sugar. I also try to eat as much lean meat as possible for protein.

What would be your top five tips for getting a flatter stomach?

Proper Nutrition.

Sufficient Cardiovascular Activity.

Stick with Basic Movements: Crunches, Leg Lifts, Sit Ups, etc.

Caffeine & Green Tea for Burning Fat

SUFFICIENT CARDIOVASCULAR ACTIVITY!
